Add your own code

Custom code adds your own HTML, scripts or styles to every page of your store. Use it for chat widgets, analytics, tag managers, ads and verification tags.

Add code

1. In your admin, go to Integrations → Custom code.
2. Paste your code in one of the two boxes:
   • In the head of every page: chat widgets, analytics, tag managers and verification tags usually go here. Script and style tags work.
   • At the end of every page: for code that should load last.
3. Click Save.
4. Open your store and check that the code works.

The code goes on your store's pages only, not in your admin.

Before you paste

• Google Analytics or Meta Pixel? They have their own fields, so you don't need code for them. See Google Analytics and Meta Pixel.
• Code for one page only? Add an HTML section to that page instead. It's in the Advanced group when you add a section in the design editor. See Add and arrange sections.
• Showing your products on another site? That's the other way round: use a widget.

Verify your store with Google

Google Search Console gives you a tag to prove the store is yours. Paste it in In the head of every page and save. See Store name, search and sharing for the full steps.
