Choose your store's language
Pick the language your customers see your store's buttons, cart, checkout and order pages in.
Open Store languageOn this page
Your store speaks one language. Customers see its buttons, cart, checkout and order pages in that language, whatever language their own browser is in. Your own words, like product names, descriptions and pages, stay exactly as you wrote them.
Change the language
- In your admin, go to Settings. Next to Store language, click Change.
- Pick the language from the list.
- Click Save.
You see "Saved. Your store now speaks this language." The change shows on your store straight away.
If the page shows Your store's texts look like they're in this language, that's a suggestion from what your store's texts are written in. Pick it if it's right.
Which language a store starts with
- A store built by the setup chat starts in the language you described it in, so its texts and its buttons match.
- Stores made before store languages existed start in English until you pick one.
