Ship orders and add tracking
Pack and post physical orders from the Needs action queue, add tracking and tell the buyer it's on its way.

When someone buys a physical product, the order waits in Orders until you mark it shipped. Digital items in the same order go out by themselves.
Ship the next order
- In your admin, go to Orders. The Needs action tab shows one order at a time under Up next.
- Check Pack this for the items and Ship to for the address. The copy button next to the address copies it for your label.
- Pick the Carrier. Marketsy suggests the post service of the buyer's country. If yours isn't listed, pick Other and type a Carrier name if you like.
- Paste the Tracking number or link from your carrier's receipt. You can leave it empty.
- Leave the email box ticked to tell the buyer. It reads like Email Anna the tracking link, with your buyer's first name, or "that it's on its way" when there's no tracking.
- Click Mark as shipped. The next order comes up.
Skip for now moves to the next order and keeps this one for later. Other orders wait under Also waiting. Needs action shows paid orders from the last 30 days; the To ship tab has every paid order still waiting.
You can also ship from an order's own page: open the order and use Mark as shipped there.
What the buyer gets
The buyer gets an email from your store, "Order #… is on its way", with the carrier and tracking. For carriers like USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL and Royal Mail, the tracking number becomes a link to the carrier's tracking page. Their order page changes from Ships soon to Shipped and shows the tracking.
Fix a mistake
Open the order from the All tab, or click Open order in the queue.
- Change tracking fixes the carrier or number. The buyer isn't emailed again, and their order page shows the new tracking.
- Mark as not shipped puts the order back in To ship. An email already sent stays sent.
Buyers pay for delivery at checkout from your delivery rates. Selling physical items needs a paid plan: see Sell physical products.
