Until your store is ready to sell, your admin Home shows Get ready to sell: four steps and a count like "2 of 4 done". The sidebar shows the same count under Set up your store. Choose Continue setup to come back from any page.

Each step ticks on its own when your store really has it, wherever you did it. You don't tick anything yourself.

The four steps

  1. Storefront created. Done when the setup chat builds your store.
  2. Replace the sample. Your store shows a sample product that customers can't buy. Replace the sample opens it on the Delivery tab, so you can add your file and price. If you deleted the sample, this step reads Add your first product. It ticks as soon as you have a product of your own. See The sample product and "Make it yours".
  3. Connect a way to get paid. Customers pay you directly, and Marketsy takes 0% commission. Choose Connect Stripe, or the or use PayPal link. The step ticks when Stripe or PayPal is connected. Stripe can take a few hours to verify you. See Connect Stripe or Connect PayPal.
  4. Publish your store. Only you can see the store until you publish it. Publish opens the Domain page. See Publish your store.

You can do the steps in any order. Most stores connect payments before they publish.

The store card

Next to the steps you see your store's address and whether it's public: Live, or Not public yet · only you can see it. Edit design opens the design editor.

Want a hand?

Choose Talk to us under Want a hand? We can connect payments and publish with you, in chat or on a quick call.

When you're done

When all four steps are ticked, Home shows your dashboard instead, and the setup box leaves the sidebar.
