A new store is private: only you and your team can see it. When you publish it, anyone can visit. You need a paid plan or a trial to publish.

Before you publish

Without a payment connection, buyers can still get free products and send you payment requests.

Publish

  1. In your admin, go to Online store → Domain.
  2. Under Choose an address, pick Free address or Your own domain. For your own domain, finish its records and SSL first. See Connect your own domain.
  3. Under Publish your store, tick I agree to the Marketsy terms and conditions.
  4. Choose Publish store.

The card at the top changes to Your store is live, with your store's address. On the Free plan, Publish store opens Pick a plan instead. See Plans and what they include.

You can also get here from Settings → Domain and publishing, or from the Publish step on your admin Home.

While your store isn't published

Visitors see an Opening soon page with an email box. Other pages of your store send them there. The sign-in page and the links in buyers' order emails still work. You and your team see the whole store while signed in.

Emails left on the Opening soon page go to Customers → Subscribers. The page tells visitors they'll get one email when you open. Marketsy doesn't send it for you: export the list and write to them when you go live.

Unpublish

  1. Go to Online store → Domain.
  2. Under Publish your store, choose Unpublish.
  3. Confirm with Unpublish, or choose Keep it live to stay public.

Visitors see Opening soon until you publish again. Your products and orders stay.
