Build your store with the setup chat
Answer a few questions in your own words and Marketsy builds your store, with pages, a design and a sample product.

The setup chat asks what you sell and a few short questions. Then it builds the whole store for you. It takes about two minutes.
Start the chat
Go to marketsy.ai and type what you want to sell. Already have a store? In your admin, open the store menu at the top of the sidebar and choose + Add a store.
The questions
- What do you want to sell? Use your own words, or pick a starter idea.
- Who's behind it, and who is it for? Pick a suggested line or write your own. It goes on your home page.
- What should the store be called? Pick a suggestion or type a name.
- Pick your colours. Choose a palette, or describe the colours you want.
- What should customers call you? Type your first name, or choose Use my store name.
- Save your store. Sign in, or create an account with Continue with Google or your email and a password of at least 8 characters.
Until the build starts, the edit button next to an answer lets you change it. A preview fills in as you go: choose Light or Dark on it for your store's pages.
What you get
The build takes a minute or two. You can close the page: we email you when your store is ready. It has:
- A home page and a Terms and Conditions page
- Categories and one sample product, with text and a picture made by AI
- A design in your colours, with a menu and footer
- A free address, like yourstore.marketsy.ai
Prices start in US dollars. You can change the currency later.
The store starts private: only you can see it. On the Built and ready screen, choose Continue in admin for the next steps. See Finish setting up your store.
Start your trial
On the Free plan, the chat offers a 3-day trial when the store is ready. You need it to open the admin, edit the store and publish it. The chat shows a small one-time trial fee, the monthly price and the date the plan starts. Choose Start my trial to pay on Stripe's page. Cancel before that date in Billing and you won't pay for the plan.
If your account had a paid plan before, there's no second trial: the button reads Continue to Stripe.
If the chat can't build it
- Marketsy can't be used to sell adult products, drugs or anything that could cause harm. Refused by mistake? Describe what you sell in other words.
- A free account builds one store at a time. Start the trial on the waiting store first.
- An account can have up to 5 stores. See Run more than one store.
