How Marketsy works

Marketsy builds an online store for your digital products from a short chat. You add your own products, connect Stripe or PayPal, and publish. Buyers pay you directly, and Marketsy takes 0% commission.

From idea to live store

1. Describe what you sell. The setup chat asks a few questions, and you answer in your own words. See Build your store with the setup chat.
2. Marketsy builds the store. You get a home page, a Terms and Conditions page, categories, a design in your colours and one sample product.
3. Add your products. Replace the sample with your own file and price, then add more: downloads, courses, memberships or physical items.
4. Connect how you get paid. Link your Stripe or PayPal account.
5. Publish. Your store goes live on a free marketsy.ai address, or on your own domain.

How the money works

Buyers pay at checkout through your own Stripe or PayPal account. The money goes straight to you. Marketsy never holds it.

• Marketsy takes 0% commission on every plan.
• Stripe and PayPal charge their own processing fees.
• You pay Marketsy for your plan each month. See Plans and what they include.

Your admin

The admin is where you run your store. The sidebar has:

• Home: your setup steps, then your dashboard.
• Orders: every order, with shipping and refunds.
• Products: your products, categories, reviews and widgets.
• Customers: your buyers and email subscribers.
• Marketing: AI posts, discount codes, upsells and cart recovery.
• Analytics: revenue, orders and how visitors become buyers.
• Online store: design, pages, blog and domain.
• Integrations: Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Zapier, webhooks, the API and your own code.
• Settings: payments, currency, tax, delivery, store language, notifications, team, and plan and billing.

On a phone, Home, Orders, Products and Store sit in a bar at the bottom. More opens the rest.
