Send orders to your server with webhooks
Marketsy posts each paid order, cancellation and subscription to addresses you choose. Comes with the Premium plan.
Open WebhooksOn this page
A webhook sends an order to your own server when something happens in your store, so your system can act on it. Webhooks come with the Premium plan.
The four addresses
You can set one address for each event. Leave the ones you don't need empty.
| Event | Sent when |
|---|---|
| Order paid | An order is paid |
| Order cancelled | An order is refunded or cancelled |
| New subscription | Someone starts a membership |
| Subscription cancelled | A membership is cancelled |
Set them up
- In your admin, go to Integrations → Webhooks.
- Paste the full address, starting with https://, in the field for each event you want.
- Click Save.
The address must be reachable on the public internet. Marketsy doesn't follow redirects, and it waits up to 10 seconds for your server to answer.
Try your webhook
Once an address is saved, a Try your webhook card appears under the form. Send a paid order sends a sample order to the paid-order address. The ⋯ menu next to it sends Order cancelled, New subscription or Subscription cancelled. A message confirms each one went out. Samples carry made-up data, not a real order.
What Marketsy sends
Each event is a POST request with a JSON body.
For orders, the body is the order:
number,id,status, currency, priceandformattedPricetaxAmount, taxRate, taxIncluded, discountAmountandpromoCodecustomer, withemail, fullNameandphone, anddelivery, with theaddresslines, one per item, withproductId,name, quantity, priceandtotalPricecreatedAtandupdatedAt
For subscriptions, the body has id, status, price, currency, billingInterval, the product (id and name), the customer, createdAt and cancelledAt.
Orders come in the same format as the API's orders: see Use the Marketsy API.
On other plans the Webhooks page is greyed out with See plans. See Plans and what they include. For a setup without code, try Zapier.
Write to us in the chat. A real person on the Marketsy team answers, and you'll get the reply here and by email.
